Reality HardCore BootCamp
Monday, January 11, 2010 at 12:47PM Hard Core Boot Camp is something new I am doing this year. If you think this is for you then keep reading. This will be an extreme workout outdoors. Nothing like you may have done in the past. Therefore, I will need you to provide extra information in order to participate. Over the course of the boot-camp, these sessions will be filmed and sent into Howard COunty local area television stations to possibly show small clips of what 'this' class did over the course of 8-weeks. So yes a someone (student) will video sessions. At the end everyone that signed a release form will get a copy. No this is not the biggest loser! However it will have some of its similarities some things being a bit more intense.
What to expect: You will be partnered with another participant (so 5 groups) during the course of 8-weeks. All groups will be color coded by your shirt color. Your goal is to get in the best shape possible. So no, you do not need to weigh excessive amounts of weight, you can already be in good shape and still win. Win? Yes the group that makes the most drastic change (ie weight, body fat, strength, attendance to sessions, demonstration of teamwork, etc) from day 1 to day 60 wins $1000 cash for the group. It is that simple. Oh and you get to keep all the goodies over the course of 8-weeks. There will be challenges where groups compete against each other, yet there will be activities that you will do on your own. This will be lots of fun and rewarding at the same time. I will take no mercy, that is why it is imperative that you are cleared by a physician. If you think you know someone that may be interested, please pass along, however I am only taking the first 10 persons that register, limiting to 5-groups.
Details of the boot-camp are as follows:

FAQ Are there make up sessions? No
What if I cant be at a few sessions due to work or family or traffic, etc...?
Make sure to workout on your own and get to the next session when possible.
If I am sick is it ok to still workout? Yes. You know your body so make the best decision for you.
If I miss a session will you email me what I missed? No. Get it from your partner. If both of you miss, I still do not email workouts. It is too time consuming and do not fit with the parameters of the hardcore boot-camp. So be there!
Can I pick my partner? No
Will I be given a nutrition program? Yes. Everyone will have the same thing, including a book to journal your eating in.
Will we meet at the same spot every time? No. If it is different you will be made aware in advance
How long are the sessions? All session are 1-hour with the exception of Sundays. Ex. you may get an email on friday evening stating that you must bike with your partner to the location of training for Sunday. So that may require you to possibly take a one to two hour head-start to make it to the session on time. Yes this is something you may possibly do! And, no you will not ever know the plans for the next session. Just be on-time.
What if I dont have a bike? You will need to borrow one, rent, etc.. there is no excuse for not getting proper equipment for the session. You will have ample time to get whatever is needed for the session and no you do not need to go out and purchase a bike or anything else unless you want to.
What do I need to bring with me to sessions? Yourself and a towel(s)
